Photographer David LaFleur (Detroit, MI) received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Photography from The Illinois Institute of Art- Chicago. His main areas of interest are editorial, documentary photography, and photojournalism. He has three self-published editorial photography books that question an understanding of what it means to have a sense of community in the most forlorn places. His work was included in a self-published, collaborative, editorial photography book that showcases five emerging photographers’ work. The International Library of Photography has published his photography in their photography book “Timeless Travels.” His photography was included in an exhibition at President’s Gallery and Gallery 350, Chicago IL. His willingness to learn from every journey of life has led him to people and organizations that are trying to make a difference in their community by creating social awareness through education and community involvement. David LaFleur currently lives and works out of Detroit, MI.
